Travel & Adventure

Mexico 2024

In March of 2024 I had the honor of going on a quick tour to Mexico with Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Timothy Hogan and the Templar Travel Tours. I was also a guest speaker on the trip to help connect ancient Khemit and Egypt to South, Central and North America, while Tim discussed the Knit’s Templar connection to the Mayan culture around 1200 AD, long before the Spanish arrived.

We all arrived in Cancun and then traveled to Playa Del Carmen where we were staying. The first day was a rest day and we all ended up listening to Tim’s amazing lecture on the Templars and Maya, and then I got to speak about the Egyptian connection. From here we traveled to Talum to see the ancient temples and site there as well as find evidence of the Templars engraved into certain locations around the site. I was amazed at how many tourists were there during our visit and it was interesting to finally see the temples of the Maya. We then traveled to Coba & Nohoch Mul pyramid on the Yucatan Peninsula, which is the second largest Mayan pyramid, tucked deep into the jungle. Approching this structure you pass by other Mayan temples in the jungle, an ancient Mayan road and 2 different ball courts where the famous ball game was played. After this we went and had a traditional Mayan village experience, food, and even got to swim in the village private cenote. After this we got blessed by the Shaman and then returned to our hotel after an exhausting and hot day. Everyone on the tour told stories around dinner and then we ended up going to the hotel club for a bit of dancing and fun.

The Mayan Village

The next day we had to get up at 7am to catch the bus and travel to Chichen Itza, another famous Mayan pyramid site that is incredibly large, and you could spend several days there and still not see it all. The main pyramid is known for the many sacrifices that were performed there and if you clap your hands, the echo sounds like a bird. While walking around the site, the local vendors make all sorts of animal noises trying to get you to buy masks, trinkets and the works. We then traveled to see the famous observatory at the site, and then went past this to a very remote temple structure that the tour guides do not take you too as there are some oddities about it. First all four corners of the temple there are depictions of elephants, this is interesting because elephants did not exist in the Mayan world, and mammoths died off long before their culture. Is this a connection to the Cham empire of Asia, thought to also have crossed the oceans in the ancient past. On another temple behind this one, there is clearly a man sitting in lotus yoga position sitting above the main entrance, another out of place item at this sacred site. From here we went for lunch at a local and very popular cenote for a swim and some delicious food.

Overall this was an amazing trip and I am hoping to do more adventures with the Templar Travel Tours, and Grand Master Timothy Hogan.
